As of 1 July 2026, Slovakia holds the Presidency of the Visegrad Group (V4), a regional alliance of Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia. The Presidency rotates annually among the four member states, with each setting its own priorities. Slovakia will focus on strengthening regional cooperation, the V4+ format, security, and competitiveness. The International Visegrad Fund plays a key role in achieving these goals. As Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Juraj Blanár stated: “For more than a quarter of a century, the International Visegrad Fund has been connecting civil society, academia, and cultural institutions across the region.”
