Audio Description Over the Borders
Audio description experts from Visegrad and Eastern Partnership countries exchange best practices of adjusting museum and arts collections for blind and partially sighted persons.
During the 5-day meeting in Poland and Slovakia, the experts participating in the project discussed the state of audio description in their countries, shared best practices and prepared the recording of audio described tours of collections exhibited by Poznań Archeological Museum, Stará Ľubovňa Castle Museum and Lviv Historical Museum.
The project resulted in the opening of exhibitions in the three museums, thus creating new opportunities for blind and partially sighted persons to enjoy art and heritage.
Summary of the experts’ work will be described in a special report prepared by all participants of the project and will serve as an inspiration and a guide for social debarrierisation of disabled people in the Visegrad region and the Eastern Partnership countries.
The project is co-funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
